Your sustainable bamboo cutlery set was hand carved in Thanh Hoà province, Vietnam. A region filled with lush green rice fields and towering mountains.
The craftspeople that help us create your wooden utensils live in a remote area which is inaccessible by traditional roads, so reaching their village was a challenge that lead us down dirt paths, across rivers and finally brought us to a small settlement of bamboo huts, surrounded by mountains.
The lead craftsman “Hà” worships nature and refuses to take from it unless he does so in a sustainable way, which means that everything he owns is made from sustainable wood sources, dead trees or bamboo.
Together with Hà and his family, we worked on refining your bamboo cutlery set. Adding curves to make the utensils perfect for everyday use.
Our design team then created a bespoke bamboo cutlery bag, made from a blend of natural jute and organic cotton and coloured using vegetable dye.
Your bamboo utensils are designed and created with sustainability and usability in mind. Each element of the set has been carefully thought through and we hope that you enjoy using your bamboo cutlery as much as we enjoyed making it.
