    2. Slip-proof razor head: Replacing your razor blades just got safer! Our curved razor heads are designed to prevent users from slipping whilst changing out old razor blades. Confidently swap your blades with our new “safer” safety razor!
    3. Unique designs: Our colour palette is designed in house to blend seamlessly into most modern bathroom settings. Even our classic silver razors have a slight tinting that you won’t find elsewhere.
    4. Perfect sustainable gift: Our limited edition razors all include 10x Jungle Culture razor blades. Combine our razors with a solid shaving soap bar or razor blade tin to create the perfect sustainable shaving gift set.
    5. Compatible with any razor blades: Our safety razors are all compatible with any safety razor blade on the market.
  • Follow these instructions and your Jungle Culture razor should last a lifetime. All of our razors come with a 5-year warranty, so should you have any issues, please contact our friendly customer service team and we’ll do our best to help.

    Firstly, unpackaged your new safety razor and start by placing 1x razor blade in between the two components that make up the razor head.

    Make sure that the ridges on the head are facing upwards and screw the head onto the razor base.

    Apply shaving soap and hot water to your skin and apply hot water to your razor head to heat the blade. Tilt the razor at a 45 degree angle and shave as normal in straight smooth strokes.

    To store your razor, we recommend purchasing the accompanying razor stand which will help to keep your razor dry. Alternatively, store your razor in a cool, dry place to avoid any rusting.

▼What is a safety razor?
Safety razors were first invented in the 1800’s, but popularised by Gilette in the early 1900s when they were issued to the US army.

Double edged safety razors like the ones we make at Jungle Culture have removable heads and use razor blades which are replaceable and plastic-free, a fantastic sustainable alternative to disposable razors. 

A double edged safety razor always has a protective razor guard built into the head, which significantly reduces the chance of cutting.
◄Can I recycle safety razor blades?
Absolutely! Safety razors are very eco-friendly and all blades can be recycled.

To recycle your eco-friendly razor blades, simply wipe them with a wet cloth and place in a metal recycling bin.

No. They don’t. There are several different types of eco safety razors. Our razors are double edged and can only use double edged blades.

◄Are safety razors good for sensitive skin?
Using a sustainable safety razor gives a close and clean shave, whilst avoiding irritation to the skin. In order to further reduce the chance of irritation, we recommend using your zero waste razor in conjunction with Jungle Culture shaving soap or a high-quality organic shaving soap.
◄Which safety razor blades are best?
There are many manufacturers of high-quality razor blades, but here at Jungle Culture we like Shark blades.

Derby blades provide a great zero waste shaving experience with a modest price tag.
◄How many times can I use a safety razor blade?
A good sustainable razor blade like the ones sold on our website can be used up to 8 times per side (total 16 uses). This varies according to the user.

Great sustainable razor

This was my first safety razor after switching from disposable ones. It took a few showers to get used to as it works quite differently. Very well made and easy to swap out blades and clean. Certainly seems like it will last a long time!

Pretty and great quality

I was looking for an eco-friendly razor in an aesthetically pleasing colour: this fits the bill! It took some getting used to but I won't go back to disposable razors for women.

The handle is sturdy and the stand is great—I love how simple it is and you don't need to stick it on your bathroom wall (another problem I had with other razors holders).

It also has a hole on the bottom for water drainage so you don't need to worry about mould.

Very reasonably priced for the value (including the extra razor blades). Highly recommend!

Good razor, poor stand

Very happy with the razor but the stand was very disappointing. The design did not match the handle of the razor, and the razor does not sit snug in the stand and instead wobbles about.
