Our sustainable razors are compatible with any double edged razor blades, which can be purchased at large supermarkets, high street pharmacies or barbershops. Alternatively, we also retail stainless steel razor blades on our website via this link.

    Jungle Culture also produces high-quality zero waste shaving soap, which improves the shaving experience dramatically!

    Safety razors are simple and easy to use, but we know that change can be a little daunting, so we have written a comprehensive, online user guide which runs through how to use our safety razors, but if you have any questions, get in touch with our friendly team and we will do our best to help!

    Unlike single-use plastic razors, safety razor blades are very easy to recycle. To walk you through the process of recycling safety razor blades we have created this help guide. We also produce compact tins for storing used razor blades.

▼What is a safety razor?
Safety razors were first invented in the 1800’s, but popularised by Gilette in the early 1900s when they were issued to the US army.

Double edged safety razors like the ones we make at Jungle Culture have removable heads and use razor blades which are replaceable and plastic-free, a fantastic sustainable alternative to disposable razors. 

A double edged safety razor always has a protective razor guard built into the head, which significantly reduces the chance of cutting.
◄Can I recycle safety razor blades?
Absolutely! Safety razors are very eco-friendly and all blades can be recycled.

To recycle your eco-friendly razor blades, simply wipe them with a wet cloth and place in a metal recycling bin.

No. They don’t. There are several different types of eco safety razors. Our razors are double edged and can only use double edged blades.

◄Are safety razors good for sensitive skin?
Using a sustainable safety razor gives a close and clean shave, whilst avoiding irritation to the skin. In order to further reduce the chance of irritation, we recommend using your zero waste razor in conjunction with Jungle Culture shaving soap or a high-quality organic shaving soap.
◄Which safety razor blades are best?
There are many manufacturers of high-quality razor blades, but here at Jungle Culture we like Shark blades.

Derby blades provide a great zero waste shaving experience with a modest price tag.
◄How many times can I use a safety razor blade?
A good sustainable razor blade like the ones sold on our website can be used up to 8 times per side (total 16 uses). This varies according to the user.

Razor

Lovely feel, quality is great. Really love my new rainbow one! Takes a bit of getting used to and you have to be a bit more careful but it's completely stopped my husbands shaving rash. I have had mine for 2 years and accidentally dropped it many a time but about a month ago I broke it. Contacted the company and they gave me a discount on a new one

My First Safety Razor

Having done lots of research etc I decided on the Jungle Culture Safety Razor & 10 blades.

I like that the razor was easy to assemble and that it has some weight to it. This is my first safety razor and it does taking some getting used to but so far so good. My only thing is that hairs are growing back the very next day and I am fair haired but still feel that the hairs coming through can be seen.

Great product

I won't ever go back to ordinary razors, it's so easy to use and makes my skin feel super soft as it isn't scraping away my skin. Feels nice and heavy but not too heavy, plus beautifully made.
