Piña Colada Smoothie Bowls

Breakfast Bowl

This recipe from Delish serves 3.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. frozen pineapple (plus more for serving)
  • 1 banana, sliced (plus more for serving)
  • 1 c. coconut milk
  • 1/4 c. shredded coconut, toasted
  • maraschino cherries (optional)

 

Directions

  1. Combine pineapple, banana and coconut milk in a blender and blend on high until smooth.

  2. Pour into a large bowl. Arrange more pineapple, banana slices and coconut on top. Garnish with maraschino cherry, if desired.

 

Coconut Berry Smoothie Bowl

This fantastic coconut smoothie bowl from Taste and Tell serves 2!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups coconut milk beverage

  • 3 cups frozen mixed berries

  • 1frozen underripe banana, sliced

  • fresh berries and unsweetened coconut, for topping

Directions

  1. Pour the coconut milk beverage into a blender. Add the frozen berries and banana and blend until smooth.

  2. Divide the smoothie between 2 bowls. Top with fresh berries and unsweetened coconut. Serve immediately.

Green Smoothie Bowl

Healthy Breakfast Bowl

This tasty and simple smoothie bowl from Sally serves 1.

Ingredients

  • 1–2cups spinach (I always add 2)

  • 1frozen banana (peel, slice, and freeze)*

  • 1/2 cupfrozen pineapple*

  • 1/2 cupvanilla Greek yogurt (or plain– I use nonfat)

  • 1/2 cupcoconut water (I used pineapple flavored)*

  • assorted toppings:fruit, granola, seeds, nuts, etc

Directions

  1. Make sure you have a strong, powerful blender that will blend up the frozen fruit. 

  2. Add all of the ingredients to the blender in the order listed. Blend on high for at least 2 minutes or until smooth. Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed. The smoothie will be very thick.

  3. Pour into a bowl and add toppings. Store any leftover smoothie covered in the refrigerator for up to 8-10 hours.

Banana Date Smoothie Bowl

Coconut Shell Bowl

This creative smoothie bowl serves 1 and is paleo and vegan!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup almond milk

  • 1 banana frozen

  • ½ cup frozen cauliflower steam before freezing for the best flavor

  • 1 Medjool date pitted

  • 1 tablespoon almond butter

  • 1 tablespoons flax seeds

  • Optional: ½ teaspoon vanilla extract and/or ½ teaspoon cinnamon

 

Directions

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a blender.

  2. Blend until smooth + garnish with freeze-dried bananas, flax seeds, almond butter, berries of choice, and/or whatever other goodness you feel like!

 

Dark Cherry Smoothie Bowl

Healthy breakfast bowl

This decadent morning breakfast bowl from Damn Delicious serves 1.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup frozen cherries
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup cherries
  • 2 tablespoons granola
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate chunks
  • 1 tablespoon sliced almonds
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened toasted coconut flakes

Directions

  1. Combine cherries, spinach, banana, milk, peanut butter and chia seeds in blender until smooth.
  2. Serve immediately, topped with cherries, granola, chocolate, almonds and coconut.
